The Massoni Merlot has a medium-deep colour with attractive purple rim, and the bouquet is a complex fruit/oak amalgam on the nose with varietal plum and dark chocolate characters. It has a full-bodied style, showing intense succulent berry fruit combined with a savoury finish. The mid-palate sweetness (so often lacking in this variety) is present in abundance.
